Rubber is a magnet formed in calendar method by mixing Ferrite Magnet Powder) with CPE(Chlorinated Polyethylene) resin which is easy for deformation and processing. Chlorinated polyethylene shows intermediate nature between EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Dien Rubber) and NBR (Nitile Butadiene Rubber). A motor used in the poor use condition is molded using NBR and its features are introduced in magnet for motors.
Characteristics
Various types of molding processing are possible through excellent matter property (malleability, elasticity).
The product is provided in sheet-type and roll-type depending on the shape in various thicknesses (0.4㎜ - 5㎜).
Additionally, it can be manufactured in custom-tailored sizes (width, length, thickness).
UV coating or MATT-UV coating prevents magnet from damaged by heat.
UV coating is glossy and MATT-UV coating is without gloss.
In addition, adhesive tape or color PVC can be attached and processed on the rubber magnet for various purposes including ad sticker magnet, ad stationery and educational materials.
Based on the production method and purpose, it is divided into anisotropic rubber magnet and isotropic rubber magnet.

Overview

Ferrite magnet is sintered magnet using powder metallurgy method with oxidized steel as its main material and its chemical form is XCo3+ 6Fe2O3. Depending on the purpose, barium (Ba) or strontium (Sr) is used for X. It is divided into dry process using adhesive purpose special powder and wet process using water depending on the manufacturing method. According to the magnetic direction, it can be divided into isotropy and anisotropy.
Characteristics
It is relatively very stable against temperature.
While anisotropy has a relative advantage in magnetic characteristic, isotropy is cheap and allows flexible magnetizing.

SmCo is magnet manufactured by using Sm, Co elements as its main components in the ratio of 1:5 or 2:17. Its price tends to be high as it uses a rare earth element Sm (samarium) and Co (cobalt), one of highly priced strategic resources. It is very stable against external magnetic field and temperature.
Characteristics
Its price tends to be high but it is widely used in high-function industries because of its excellent magnetic and chemical characteristic values.
It can be used in temperatures up to 250-350℃ and does not require surface treatment as it does not corrode.
It is used for motor, sensor and high-price machineries and equipment with a long lifespan.
In terms of its precision degree and shape processing control, they are relatively easier than that of sintered NdFeB magnet.

NdFeB Rubber
Overview

NdFeB Rubber is Nd rubber magnet with soft material property as synthetic resins have been added to raw material. It can be easily cut and shaped with a knife or scissors since strong Nd magnet has been made into a flexible rubber magnet form. According to grade, it is manufactured in the range of 1.5-8.5MGOe.
Characteristics
It has similar magnetic characteristic value as that of bonded NdFeB magnet.
While having a high magnetic power with superior shape processing capability, its high price is its disadvantage.
The maximum temperature range is 100-120℃.
In addition to being frequently used for motor and speakers, it is also widely used for urgent mock up production for replacing bonded NdFeB because of its high processing capability.

NdFeB
Overview

Neodymium magnet consists of Nd. Fe and B as main materials and it is named after the most important material. Contents of raw material vary by grade of magnet, and high grade uses heavy rare earth (Td, Dy and Yb). Magnet price is unstable because it is highly affected by raw material price of rare earth metal.
Characteristics
Among commercially available permanent magnets, it has the strongest magnetic force. Surface treatment is generally used to make up for its disadvantage of low stability against temperature and oxidation. Although general grade has low stability against temperature, high grade can be used in temperatures up to 220℃. Since it is stable against external magnetic field and maintains high magnetic force, it is used for a very extensive range of purposes. It is most commonly used magnet along with sintered ferrite magnet used for motor, sensor, speakers, toy, metal detector, high-strength adhesive/attachment parts, as well as for simple attachment and packing material purposes. Its precision degree and shape can be controlled depending on the magnet grade and processing method.

AlNiCo
Overview

The main components of AlNiCo are Al, Ni, Co, Fe and AlNiCo magnet is named after the each first letter of the elements. In terms of its manufacturing method, there are cast method and sintered method and it is also distinguished into isotropic and anisotropic. Depending on the manufacturing method, it will have slightly different characteristics but sintered AlNiCo magnet is insignificant in its demand and cast AlNiCo magnet is most widely used.
Characteristics
Cast AlNiCo magnet has the characteristics of its property changing from temperature as in the case with other metals, while also having a high level of hardness. Accordingly, it is processed mostly through grinding and allows efficient work through a compact configuration of magnetic circuit based on convenient magnetizing.
Because of its high magnetic flux density and stable temperature characteristics, it is used for various purposes such as speakers, microphone, motor, ammeter, etc.
Sintered AlNiCo has similar characteristics as cast AlNiCo through which a very small scale and complex shape production is possible based on its high level of magnetic characteristics and excellent mechanical hardness. It is used for elaborate work.
AlNiCo magnet has the advantage of its stability even in high temperatures such as 500-600℃ because of its high Curie temperature but also has the disadvantage of its magnetism gradually weakening over time due to its weak coercive force.

Iron Sheet

Iron sheet is made by mixing iron (Fe) powder with high molecule resins for adding flexibility to steel plate. It allows various types of applications through its convenient processing compared to existing rigid steel plate. When used as a counterpart of magnet, magnetic response similar to that of steel plate can be obtained when steel powder content is high.
Characteristics
It can be used in place of rigid steel plate as an existing magnet counterpart.
It can be easily cut and shaped with a knife or scissors since it has relatively softer property.
The base color of steel plate is dark gray and color PVC lamination is used for various color requirements.

Magnet Gear
